Sneakertopia is the biggest urban festival in Latinoamérica created by sneakerheads for sneakerheads. This groundbreaking event brings together sneakers, pop culture, music, art, sports, and technology in one place. So, our strategy was to create a logo that will follow that explosion of creativity. We work with elements of the 80s and 90s to make an emotional connection between those golden decades with the new vibes of today.
The double typography is a statement itself. The top is about the sneakers: the materials, the textures, and the innovation that surround this high-value collectible object. And, we add some urban winks too: the basketball, the skateboarding, the hip hop and the rap, the graffiti, the street style. The bottom section is a reference to the graffiti universe and the way both parts come together. The colors are retro, but at the same time, imply a future-forward vision.
Looking for the weird, that one of a kind factor, the graphic design is a limited edition. All in all is the classic versus the new, and the rare too.
